Museum Tours

The Museum houses a variety of artifacts that chronicle the settlement and development of the Folsom area. Tours for groups can be arranged in advance of the Folsom History Museum. Tour includes information on early settlers, the Gold Rush influence, establishing of a town and factors that gave the town permanence. A docent dressed in period costume presents tours of the museum. Allow 45 minutes for the tour. The Museum can also arrange for a package history tour including the Railroad Turntable, and the Folsom Pioneer Village. Allow 1 ½ hours to tour all three areas. Tours must be booked in advance and there is a per person fee.

October - June Museum Tours and Outreach Programs Book a tour or outreach program today. The Museum offers a wonderful educational docent led tours. Tours can include other historic sites as well as the museum. The Museum Education Outreach program comes to your school. The schedule is flexible. There is a small fee for these programs.
